Spring break 2006 was amazing.
I left Wed. night to fly home to Maryland for 24 hours to spend time with my rents, then flew out Friday morning with Tiffany to sunny, beautiful Florida. (mucho thanks to Benjuamin who pulled an all niter with me so we could catch our 7 a.m. flight).
arrived in beautiful South Beach at 10 a.m. and proceeded to hit the beach.
i'd go on, but pictures are worth 1000 words.
I've been having a rough time lately and before I left for SB, on Tuesday morning, I came home for a ten minute break and look what the FedEx man brought me =)
3 dozen beautiful roses =) thanks for the cheering up!!!
what happened here was that me and Tiffany were the first to arrive, and so we spent the day on the beach, then we came back, changed and ate dinner, missing the boys, who arrived a little bit later. we get back to the hotel after dinner/shopping and we see this in the bathroom. One of the boys had neatly hung up/folded our bathing suits. haha. SOOO cute.
FRIDAY: St. PATTY's DAY @ Club OPIUM

MONDAY: More beach. insane happy hour @ tequila chica. crashing pool party @ baller fountane bleu hotel. Bar hopping. (Crobar. Felt. Playwright).
haha the people next to us got so drunk, this one guy had to drag his buddy off. and then they just left him in the sand =(

TUESDAY: last day in miami. drove to FL. and insane night @ Orlando club I can't remember the name of.

i managed to catch up on your entries... fluff... spring break trip... wanting time to slow down... substance... God... prince charming. there are a lot of fears and anticipations and expectations and frustrations and all the nice words you could look up in http://www.dictionary.com
i could tell you about love - but you're right. you have to experience it. you talked about watching fear factor live... haha, no need for the studios my dear. fear factor is right here right now, and you're the contestant. except you don't win 50,000 bucks and you aren't competing against anybody. except yourself.
what's your fear? mine is loneliness. fear about being lonely. or maybe even just alone (as a journalist, you understand the difference between those two words).
in the desert, i have to face mine. not because i'm all by myself. but because i have to face loneliness. stripped of friends and family and what not.
this is not a "feel pity for me". this is simply a fear factor challenge with God as the "game show host". i don't have to enjoy it - but i know this is where i need to be.
so what's your fear?
here's a hint... perfect love drives out fear. God is love. 1 Corinthians 13 is all about love... but isn't the whole Bible a love story? about how God loved us... how we have problems returning the love? how we need "some space" and yet He still comes after us?
hahha... i'm suffering from sermonitis. take the preaching for what it's worth.
