What a beautiful, beautiful weekend.

reunited with some of my fave girls in this world  i don’t think i’ve had such a girly weekend in a long long time….=)

Friday, sarah and tina flew in, talked until like 5 a.m. (our schedule
was seriously, eat…talk…eat more…talk…eat…you get the idea.)

Saturday- Dimsum with more faves (beta class, lambda eta class, chilin
& michelle, jackie and junior, gamma class, and lambda OG/wootton
99′er Munster), get ready time @ my place with everyone, then Liv and
Andy’s gorgeous wedding ( bring on the kleenex)

Sunday- lounged around, and then Pho with my pledge sisters, then
dinner @ CPK with richard, gf, and gammas. THEN we saw DEVIL WEARS
PRADA! =) such a cute movie.

Monday- Shopped the entire day with pledge sisters, and then had a bbq @ my place, then a sleepover

Tuesday- breakfast then took rich and pledge sisters to the airport.
Then bbq @ ben and steph’s…then OB (haha karoake night) with
everyone. =)

Flying to Chitown today ( Chitown/Chambana/Ohio 7/5-7/15). Okay enough talking.

CLASS OF 2006. WE DID IT.

My mom told me as I left home for the first time to enjoy
college because it would be the bestest and fastest four years of my
life. I didn’t believe her at the time, but she was right.

I have finished my last semester, last class, and now, last exam. I can’t believe it’s over.

Looking over how much I have grown in the last few years, I
stand in awe. I can’t believe how much four, short years will change
and shape a person. I am not the same person I was four years ago. Life
is what you make of it. Looking back, everyone will say they have had
regrets, but every mistake and every regret only made me stronger in
the long run. I’ve hit some rough patches in the last four years, but I
have also experienced some of the best times of my life.

I came to U of I to find myself and grow: personally, as well as spiritually.

I met some amazing people and accomplished some amazing
things. Looking back on the last four years, I can only smile at my
memories, laugh at my regrets, and move on, knowing I always came out a
little bit wiser, a lot more stronger, and most of all, learning a
lesson to add to my book of wisdom.

Thank you for all the memories. CONGRATULATIONS CLASS OF 2006!!!

QUICK RECAP 2002-2006

Freshman year: Went to my first small group
@ CFC (met some amazing people although ultimately, it’s not for
me), joined a hip-hop dance team-it was exhausting, made some
incredible friends ( LAR GIRLS steph, val, me.) Had bad roomate
experiences, got lucky and moved in with Stephanie second semester.
Pledged Delta Delta Delta sorority, decided it wasn’t for me, met Ricky
who insisted I needed to stop being white-washed and find some Asian
friends. *sigh* Asians suck you in. haha j/k I love you guys. Pledge
KDPhi second semester, met two of the most amazing people in my life,
Sarah and Tina. PARTIED like a notorious FRESHMAN!! (b/c I’m allowed
to).

SENIOR YEAR:
This was the hardest freaking year of my life. So many disappointments
so many mistakes, but overall I think I grew the most this year. I
can’t believe I survived this last semester with three jobs, working
32-35 hours a week, on top of a 16 hour course load. AHHH!
=) so happy!! highlights: got a chance to be pledge mom evn tho things
didn’t work out as well as i thought they would, got to go to
southbeach/orlando with my favorite ppl ever and had the bestest spring
break ever, had crazy thanksgiving/winter breaks as well, made new
friends and rekindled old friendships. GRADUATED.

Three years ago, on this day, three very different girls, (one from MW, one from EC, and one from WC) crossed into everlasting sisterhood.

On April 19, 2003, #23 Tina Chan, #24 Sarah Chen and #25 Lianne Zhang, became the Gamma Class of aKDPhi @ U of I.

It’s been three years, and so much has changed since that day, but one thing that will never change is how eternally grateful I am to have you two in my life.

I love you and miss you guys.

Spring break 2006 was amazing.
I left Wed. night to fly home to Maryland for 24 hours to spend time with my rents, then flew out Friday morning with Tiffany to sunny, beautiful Florida. (mucho thanks to Benjuamin who pulled an all niter with me so we could catch our 7 a.m. flight).
arrived in beautiful South Beach at 10 a.m. and proceeded to hit the beach.
i’d go on, but pictures are worth 1000 words.

I’ve been having a rough time lately and before I left for SB, on Tuesday morning, I came home for a ten minute break and look what the FedEx man brought me =)

what happened here was that me and Tiffany were the first to arrive, and so we spent the day on the beach, then we came back, changed and ate dinner, missing the boys, who arrived a little bit later. we get back to the hotel after dinner/shopping and we see this in the bathroom. One of the boys had neatly hung up/folded our bathing suits. haha. SOOO cute.

I can’t believe I’ve been here for four years and this

MIDWEST SISTERHOOD CONFERENCE/ LPHIE INTERSTATE in CHITOWN.
I can’t believe this was my LAST MSC. I have gone to 7 MSC/MSRs and I can’t believe this is the last of it. It really hit me during banquet when I looked around and realized that I really don’t know when the next time I’m going to see alot of these girls. So many memories…..

anyways, first of all, to the host chapter, UIC, you girls did a KICK ASS JOB. The hotel was AWESOME (Marriot in downtown Chicago) with the nicest beds EVER. Five course dinner with SOUP ( i love soup) and triad of desserts. Showcase was hilarious (uic’s sex & the city skit, “the ass man”, purdue’s parental unit show, muffin!, haha bang bang! lol) Thanks for taking such good care of us the whole weekend! It was by far my most memorable/favorite MSC/MSR in my active hood. What a nice and memorable way to end my KDPhi activehood.

U of I KDPhis, it’s hitting me that I’m going to be graduating soon. When I look back on my four years of college, it amazes me how much of it was made up of KDPhi. Pledging with my wonderful pledge sisters, status year (together for 9 days straight!, roadtripping like crazy in Cali), crazy purdue fever ( how many couples did we have at one time?), secret santas/valentines, playing w/ syands, strolls, practices, chapter meetings, rush, parties, sisterhoods, birthdays, ass hall, playing on the quad. I have witnessed each and every one of you actives pledge and cross, and I am amazed at how much you have grown and changed this sorority into the incredible organization it is today. All the laughter, the tears, the fights, the joy—-and sharing this incredible sisterhood, I wouldn’t have changed any of it.

Friday://
rented car and drove for 6 hours straight after everyone FINALLY got
ready to go. go to mich at 1:30 a.m. and us OG’s passed the f* out.
Saturday:// for ONCE our chapter was up early and on time. spent the whole day laughing/bonding playing with MW sisters.
the banquet was sooo much fun, i LOOVED LOOVED LOVEED my LIME FAMILY!! =)
Purdue’s skit was sooo funny and annie’s hick accent had me snorting lemonade out of my nose.
partied in SOUTHTOWN. thanks to random phi delt boys for offering us taxi rides.
